Blogs
Before starting our own blog, Jax and I browsed through other blogs trying to find inspiration for pursuing our own traveling and to learn effective ways to communicate about one’s life without appearing completely self-absorbed. Below, we have included only our favorite blogs, those that we consider checking out . Of course there are countless blogs out there and we have not explored the majority of them, so we will keep updating this page as we find more we think deserve your time.
Sunshine Stories
If you are into surfing, artistic photography and reading about young people doing cool things, visit Peter and Linn’s blog. In their early twenties, this couple from Sweden travel around the world looking for places to surf, photograph and have a good time. If you know Swedish, then you are in luck because lots of their posts are in that language, however you will find some in English too. If you have slow internet, load their page and do something else. Due to the sizes of their amazing photos, a page load in their blog can take a long time with poor WiFi or cell service. The Bumfuzzle
The Bumfuzzles, are as close as it gets to sailing and traveling blog celebrities. Starting in 2004, Pat and Ali started their journey around the world in a Catamaran. Since then, they have driven across the Americas and part of Europe in a VW bus, they have done the race across America in a vintage Porche, bought an old boat and rehabed it, had two kids and are now planning their next trip around the world from Mexico. Jax and I have spent countless hours reading, laughing and feeling inspired by Pat’s writing. If you like family/lifestyle or sailing blogs, you will love theirs. I also recommend their story to anyone who has young kids, for Pat talks all about being a parent. Visit The Bumfuzzle
The Goodwin Project
Okay I am going to be entirely honest with you when explaining the Goodwin Project, we do not completely understand it, but they are after something good. A family of four and a complete film crew take off to travel the world, to make a film about this surfer family living their lives as nomads. They do not update regularly, but when they do, I (caye) can spend close to hours staring at their amazing photos.

As when grocery shopping, it not recommended to visit this site on an empty stomach for it will make you hungry instantly. Visit The Sprouted Kitchen.
Laylita

Websites
The list of websites below are pages we stand behind. They have been included here because of their excellence at providing some sort of service that we find valuable. If you want to recommend a page to us and your motive is not purely self-promotion, please send us a link and will check it out.
When I first encountered Khan Academy, three years ago, it was not the huge movement it is today. I was browsing YouTube for videos that explained organic chemistry and voila, there he was Salaman Khan. It only took him 13min to explain what my college professor could not get me to understand in three weeks. Not only is Khan Academy the best resource for online learning that we have found, it also has a innovative and promising mission that we absolutely support. We have and will continue to spread the message about Khan wherever we go. Visit Khan Academy
TED, stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. Their motto is Ideas Worth Spreading. This non-profit brings together visionary people and gives them center-stage to tell the world about their ideas, in a 5 to 20min presentation. It a bottomless resource, where intelligent people of all walks of life get to share ground-breaking projects and anyone with access to the internet can watch it for free. The actual conferences are pretty expensive, but the website is free and it is a must. Visit TED
Jax and I were introduced to this website by a favorite professor Marion Fass. Founded by Ola Rosling, Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Hans Rosling from Sweden, this website is a fun and highly effective way to visualize statistics. This team of talented researchers, have managed to bring together statistics of a wide range of countries, years and topics to help us understand where we stand in terms of world development. Although statistics do not often demonstrate the entire picture, they are often the only way we can conceptualize many indicators that are used to analyze progress. Even if none of this sounds interesting and statistics don’t peak y0ur fancy, we beg you just spend 90 seconds on the site. You will be fascinated. Visit GapMinder
If you are looking to be artistically inspired, learn a new trick in any Adobe software or simply pass time, Abduzeedo is the place to do it. Founded in 2005, by Brazilian designer Fabio Sasso, this website has gained an enormous amount of popularity and it has inspired me while creating countless websites, photos, articles, movies and in life. Visit Abduzeedo
Launched in 2007, at a conference in Washington DC, this non-profit’s main goal it to aid in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal #5, to reduce maternal mortality. To obtain the goal, this organization must empower, unite and advocate for women and they do a pretty good job at it. If you want to support a cause, take a look at theirs and if not theirs, remember that investing in women pays more than investing in men.
