This weekend was unlike our past weekdays. We slept until late, stayed up until late at night and did no work at all. Most of the time was spent with my mom, which made the weekend great. Saturday afternoon we drove to San Jose, our farm in my mom’s side. There, we cooked a rhubarb crisp, onion soup and ate dinner with my aunt, uncle and cousins. Sunday, we watched my mom in action! As she managed everything that needed to get done in the farm. She met with the farm’s keeper and another guy and arranged everything! She is pretty amazing.
As we were being awed by my mom, we did not quite realize that Yaku, Yana and Nena, their mom, were bathing themselves in quite literately – poop or, to be more correct, human waste! Reason why, Sunday was Yaku and Yana’s first shower and they pretty much hated it! On our way back to Quito we saw their dad, which confirmed that our dogs are 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Husky.
Now I’m sitting at “La Casita” with an unfortunate and painful stomach ache and nausea that pretty much arose from the blue! Hopefully I feel better in not too long. This week with follow lasts’ patterns.
