A couple days ago we went trekking up Pasochoa volcano with my cousin Claudia and her friends from Pratt in New York. Pasochoa, is only a couple minutes away from my cousin’s house. Six of her friends from school came to Ecuador to climb mountains for an industrial design class. In the next few days, they will hike up Iliniza Sur, Cotopaxi and Altar. Morgan, Jena, Jax and I do not think we will join them. Regardless of ducking out of the larger mountains, we had an amazing time climbing Pasochao – granted we were tired due to our lack of physical activity over the last months. After a 8 hours of trekking we headed back to my aunt, Margarita, and uncle Jorge’s house, where we spent the night and visited with the family for the evening.

Love the green, the blue, the drops of water and evidence of growth in grasses and men I have known since their first breaths and seeing the faces of the women they love.
beautifully said. Tree….wonderful to talk to you, Morgan, and to listen to those other beloved voices in the background…..I say walk up those other mountains, or bike up! Or get to that ocean…
Absolutely agree with both of you! Your scenery must be so different than ours at the moment. Hope everything is going well over your way! We miss you dearly.
